GameServer.exe Crashes

Hi I've been reading threads in here about GameServer.exe automatically closes or crashes.

When I open gameserver.exe it automatically closes and produces .dmp files which have size of mostly 500+mb.

For what I've read on other threads it was just advise to use other operating system but my problem is I'm running on VPS that using Windows Server 2012 R2, which means I can't downgrade to lower windows version and had to use the windows server 2012 r2.

Anyone have other idea about this issue?

PS: I've already tried running it in all compatibility mode still the same error.

Depending on what gameserver you have, it can be anything like item drop, exp, wrong setup of event... without debug you can't actually find out the problem.

u can actually contact MU Engine and let them analyse the .dm file or something @wolfulus am i right if they have source etc?

I did not touch any game configs atm except for ips and dbs, so all game configs are at the default state.

Attach upload somewhere the gameserver and if you have dumps, those too and I will have a look.

the .dmp in in conjunction with the .pdb file can be used to find exactly where it is breaking. you just need need the exact copy of the source code that the gs was compiled with.

without the source code, you'll need some deep analysis with ollydbg or some other debugger.

also, OP needs to tell which muserver he's using... if it's protected, packed, or whatever, it will get a little messy and it is easier to contact the original developer
