U can use port blocker and kiwi guard firewall for ddos attacks i have this on my dedi and it works fine. See if u have router or hardware firewall, some hostings offer that on the package, u can add more if u want, but my opinion?
You don't need the best, you need to know about security.

You can always rent a third party company to make this for you, since almost all those software solutions can solve just small attacks and are not realiable for production usage (not nowadays when many guys, have in their hands those thousand of booters, to take you down).
