    GSDBSet ODBC Connect Fail

Hello I would like for some assistance in getting my server up and running.
What I am facing at the moment is a problem with the GSDBSet ODBC Connect Fail and I can't explain why. What have I done wrong?

Just to mention I have searched and looked at the suggestion on this question but they are not satisfying because I already ran ODBC.reg after I restored the databases. And Also I am not using 64 bit system its Win XP SP3. SQL 2000 86bit=32

    Thank You For the Help

try this after restoring your DB's.. you did merge the odbc file right? (if you did, follow this)

    1. go to "start", "control panel", "performance & maintenance", "administrative tool", and double click "DATA SOURCES (ODBC)"

2.look for "System DSN" on the tab (click it) and you will see this: Event, Local Server, LOGIN, MU2003_EVENT_DB, MuOnline, MuOnlineJoinDB, Ranking, USELOG.

3.click Event and click Configure (on the right side)

    Name: Event

Which SQL Server do you want to connect to? put your "SQL Server Name" which you input while installing your SQL Server.

    4. click next (be sure that With Windows NT etc.... is "ticked" and also for Connect to SQL etc.... is "checked" and click next

    5. check "Change the default Database to: MuOnline, then next...

    6. then click Finish

Do the following steps for Local Server, LOGIN, MuOnline, MuOnlineJoinDB, and USELOG. And for MU2003_EVENT_DATA & Ranking DO THIS:

    1. click Event and click Configure

    2. Name: MU2003_EVENT_DATA, next

    3. "tick" With SQL Server authentication using a login ID and password entered by the user.

    Login ID: sa
Password: (your sql password) (then click next)

    4. check the Change the default database to: MU2003_EVEN_DATA, next

    5. finish

    FOR Ranking:

1.click Event and click Configure (on the right side)

    Name: Ranking

Which SQL Server do you want to connect to? put your "SQL Server Name" which you input while installing your SQL Server.

    2. click next (be sure that With Windows NT etc.... is "ticked" and also for Connect to SQL etc.... is "checked" and click next

    3. check "Change the default Database to: Ranking, then next...

    4. then click Finish

    Goodluck bro!

    Re: GSDBSet ODBC Connect Fail

Thanks For the Suggestion but it did not work.

Here is more details on what I have done:

I am Using the latest release of Shatter and I have restored the DB's in DataBase Files as it originaly came with. Basically I haven't moved any of the files out of their folders.
2nd I copied the ODBC file and placed it in to the DataBase Files folder and ran it.

Then I did the above setup and still no luck.

    Thank You
    SUCKMAN
