[Help] Low & High Exp on Same Computer ....

Can some of the skilled guys out there tell me how can i run low & high exp server on same computer ? without being obligated to reload options for connectmember.txt everyday so players can play on one of these 2 srvs


btw....i'm using same vers....just want low & high exp on same computer

i want this too but different accounts on each server...same version or different version ...
i think you need to edit odbc,create different databases name and modify the ports of one of the server ... but i'm not sure yet....please send me a pm if you make it ...

4 databases high_muonline low_muonline high_ranking low_ranking, then 2 server directions. one set as low other as high. Then hex the gses so they don't give that message "cannot be runned twice"

Specify your version.

In fact, it is possible to launch 2 servers with different DBs on the same computer, but one of them won't be fully functional. This is because you aren't able to change ExDB's, EventServer's and RankingServer's port, so these can be launched only once on the same PC. If you don't want the second GameServer to use these three servers, you can disable them in commonserver.cfg (in fact, I'm not sure if it is possible to disable ExDB), but this way, you will lose some game features.

If someone knows how to change ExDB, EventServer and RankingServer port, let me know. Then it would be no problem :)

since edataserver was built this thing is possible without much work : open 2 separate eDS with full applications(exdb,js,ds1,2,event,ranking) and to second eDS you need other ports than in first,also ODBC configuration for second database and gs will communicate with database with ds and if ds connect to second db you got a subserver with other accounts,characters... in your case the high xp server

Easy as hell , altough not tested

MuOnline - Ranking (low)
MuOnline2 - Ranking 2 (high)
Different dataservers , gameservers , and all other links ports and u're done
U make a subserver on the current low server with the connection to the ports of the high server and... have fun

I wanted this 3 years ago and becouse of not knowing programing language to change ports and etc I found 1 semple way to do this. I install Microsoft Virtual PC and made there another server with another sql server and etc. just change main.exe port to 44406 and forward this port to virtual PC it,s very easy here you can see how mine works.



I know it's not best solution but I can't do in another way.

anyways as i see edataserver doesn t support s3 or s4 right ? so i won t be able to use it ...

if edataservers don t support s3 or 4 there is another method excepting the one that makcia told ?

I think the hardest part here is hexediting ExDB, RankingServer, EventServer. We have to change the ports of this programs to be able to do it. Someone knows the right place to find the ports and change them?

but can i have a server 0.97d low and s4 high with th same settings on the same pc ? what will be the configuration so i can make like this ...

also edataservers work without bugs for season4 ? ( as i saw in dev thread there are still bugs to be fixed )

Only important links like GS , JS , DS's should have port changes .... as i know.... i'm not sure of that either
