    [Help] Monster/item lvl difference

    Here's an example: if a GD Helm has item lvl 90 - what mob lvl range will drop exc version of it? If anyone knows, i'll be thankful.

    Or is the monster/item lvl difference (for exc drop of the item ofc) different in case of certain items? Cause i've put lvl 90 on every part of Great Dragon set and Dark Master set - all DM parts drop, GD doesn't (tested on the same edited mob). DP stuff doesn't drop at all either, Dragon Knight exc parts have _a lot_ lower drop rate than for example Sunlight parts (lvls set the same). How to make stuff like GD, DP, DK and some other sets (Divine, Red Spirit drops very rarely too) drop as much as Dark Master and other often dropping sets? Need someone to explain that to me... Without "maybes" hopefully, i've tried them for 10 hours :D

    Using Goe's 88T+96 if that matters. Just trying to customize the server, so it's different than most of the others.

    exc drop level is "normal level +25"

    I've had mobs lvl 155, all 1.02 sets (DK/Sunlight/so on) and weapons (Knight Blade, explosion, etc) and few other things were set to lvl 130. Countless Volcano/Sunlight parts, Dark Reigns, Explosions, Blades of Fire, Soleis/Great Lords. Only 1 exc DK and Silpid items, not even a single VM part, Sylph/Albatross Bow, Daybreak, Bone/Knight blade, Viper/Kundun staff, S2 scepter.

    So what's the problem here? Any way to make things equal or the only way out is boks/kundun/etc?

    uhm.. level 155 is a bit high. can be buggy (i think max mob level is 150)

    Just tried it, lowered items lvls to 120 and mob lvl to 145 (kundun is 147, so 145 shouldn't be buggy) - still the same, lots of some stuff, almost most items just doesn't drop, even though they should...

    then it depends on the GS probably. Cant help you more that that :)

    Guess that would explain it... Plus it's not only on mine, on every server i've played GD/DP and some other stuff (dark breaker for example) exc drop rate was a lot lower than other items.

    If anyone fixed it or knows how - i'd still appreciate it :)

    Bump... Still badly in need of a solution

    But here's an idea... So exc leather items drop without problems. What if in item.txt i'd edit item 7 5 (leather helm) with the stats of item 7 29 (DK helm), then edit the client to show (image and name) leather helm as DK helm? Would that work and exc DK would drop as much as exc Leather or something will get screwed up?

    Need someone to correct my thinking...

    well, you can think diferent, no up lvl mobs, better down lvl items, its better, because if your put a lot of mobs with this lvl will give you a great xp, better down item's lvl

    It's just a detail, easier to change 1 mob lvl than lots of item lvls everytime i wanna try something different. Gonna make it "for real" later, when i find a way how to make everything drop equally :P

    Which i guess i won't, switching leather/dk item indexes (only, without changing stats/client) just made leather drop where dk used to drop... with the same virtually non-exc rate ;P
