How to make Server go Online

I hope someone can read and help me about this.Everything is working fine.
I used Season 4 server files my problem is, I want my friends to connect in me from there house.
I tried my best to put my global ip/external ip. But they can't still connect, but with my local ip and when they bring laptops to my house and connect to my local ip they can connect.Thanks :D

I made the server for my friends only, No plans of opening it to the whole world wide.
It's okay to be lag but I just want to know how so my friends can connect to me even they were not in my house.

Need to forward the ports... Need to check your internet connection, if you have NAT IP you cannot do this.

Buy a VPS for 10$/ mo and install the serverfile on it, and you can play with your friends... and 10$.... is nothink...

Hi, I tried a year ago to host a server using my Internet cennection and my PC.
But I just forget how.

Can I know if my IP address is not?
And what IP address should I put on Connectserver,Commonloc,Iplist,Mapserverinfo?

I don't have plans opening it a large server so if someone can help me open my server, That will be a big help.

Then install hamachi create a network and use the IPv4 of the hamachi ip you have to the files and client and tell ur friends to install hamahi and join ur network and they will be able to play world wide

Should I put the ipv4 of hamachi on main.exe too?

Connectserver, CommonLoc, Iplist, Mapinfoserver = (Should I put hte ipv4 of hamachi)

I tried to put both but still disconnected from the server.

Best advices i can give you .. make a no-ip server for dynamic ip or even better use static ip ....if youre lazy :)
Or use @KarLi solution hamachi is maybe better then no-ip for friends :)

If your gonna use it for just you and friends hamachi only supports up to 5 people per group change the server and client ip to hamachi. Make a group in hamachi and make ur friends connect to that hamachi group and make them download the client.

Making the game public go to What's My IP Address? - Obsolete Browser Page get ur public ip change ur ip in server/client to public ip go into your router settings you can find ur default gateway in cmd open command prompt type ipconfig look for default gateway copy those numbers go to browser and put in those numbers and sign in to your router and find virtual server and open ports and turn off ur firewall and everything should work.

To make local just open cmd type ipconfig find ipv4 address and make that ur client/server ip.

I experience hosting a gameserver online on my PC, you cannot play on your own PC where the server is running that's because of IP Conflict, and about ports portforward your 44405 and your gameserver ports and run the gameserver and try to check ports in canyouseeme.org

Tip: Do not check your port at canyouseeme.org if your gameserver is not running because you will get Closed result, be sure to run your gameserver and check your ports at canyouseeme.org

If lan there is no problem connecting about this, only on Public IP if you setup your portforward correctly and you use in the server is your public IP which you can find in whatismyip.org you cannot play in the PC where the server is running.

just try this method:
1st portforward your ports in your modem/router
2nd run your gameservers
3rd check the port if open in canyouseeme.org(If ports are open then you hve successfully portforward the ports and proceed to step 4)
4th send your clients to your friends and ask them if they can connect ingame, because as i said you cannot play online in your own PC where the server is running or have the same IP so let your friends test it on other PC/IP

He can use global ip and still play on his own PC, all he needs to do is add/replace his WAN IP in connectserver serverlist.dat and. it will work, but only for him, then he has to switch to global ip and reload the config from the bor connectserver and other ppl will be able to connect, i tested it, else go for hamachi.

why not buy VPS? there's a lot of hosting company out there that sells very cheap vps

@Kojic why should he go for VPS if he only wants to play with his friends ... yea vps is good and stuff but i wouldn´t pay for it i rather buy a dedicated or host from my own pc (what im actually doing right now) :) he can also use No-IP or yea hamachi .

if you have successfully configured port forwarding and you have a dynamic ip try using NO-IP then use your no-ip domain in your server files, so if you ip change just update you ip in no-ip

Dynamic IP = this change your ip anytime
Static IP = this is a static ip and assign by your network provider this will never change

Maybe before you make a server read which config for what.... with 0 knowledge totally useless to make a server. 1st time need to learn, after make something...
