and check the task manager
no main.exe :(

most likely one .dll file is attached to main.exe and it checks checksum of files,like player.bmd or item.bmd or text.bmd....if you edit them than nothing will happen when you launch main.

there is a way to bypass it,but i will leave it for you to figure it out

you issue was from ATI driver i think, no?
