    Mu Server to work on Global

    **EDIT**
    I forgot to use the [Help] prefix and cannot seem to add it now :(
    **EDIT**

    Hello All !

    My problem is that I am struggling to get my Mu Server (S6 e3) to work globally,
    I have managed to set it up and get it working locally (Much credit to @fallenfate who is awesome)

    Now I want the server to be accessible for someone outside my LAN,

    I have edited all the IP's and forwarded the relevant ports (probably more ports than needed)

    I currently have a no-ip address (mu******.ddns.net) and have put this in place of where all the local IP's where,
    I have then launched the following;
    TitanLinkServer.exe (runs fine with no errors)
    ConnectServer.exe (runs fine as well)
    GameServer.exe (Was giving an error and didn't display anything in the log so I changed the IP's in SCF_Connect.ini to 127.0.0.1 and now seems to be running fine)

    I have then launched edited the IP for the client to the no-ip address, and launched it,
    The game loads but it displays a blank screen without the server select.

    So I edited the hosts file after reading a few tutorials and a long browse on RZ,
    I input the following;

    127.0.0.1 localhost
    192.168.1.144 mu******.ddns.net

    and also tried

    127.0.0.1 mu******.ddns.net
    192.168.1.144 mu******.ddns.net

    both resulted in the game launching, I then select the server and then nothing the login box does not appear.

    I have checked all the logs and cannot seem to put my finger on what is wrong,
    After trying about tweaking the configuration about 50 times I am reaching breaking point and really lost as to what I need to do to solve this.

    I have tried both with Microsoft loop back adapter enabled and disabled (for local I can only access when it is enabled)

    I have also tried using just my global IP but that seems to have the same result as using the noip address.

    My cousin in Australia has also tried connecting and he is getting the same results .

    Any help would be appreciated, I am able to use Teamviewer if someone can assist.

    Thank you in advanced.

    I didn't read the whole thing you said But It's a connection problem I guess?

    Here's what I can help:
    Check your GameServer port, see if it's 55901.
    Open these ports : 44405 , 55901 , 55919

    Check you ports here if it's open or not -> RaGEZONE
    (Open You server first before scanning the ports.)

    Check the ODBC
    HEX the main.
    ServerSide -> Version , Serial and IP must be thesame in your client.

    Use Microsoft Loopback Adapter.
    and put your global IP or Local IP.

    Hi Mr?,

    I have checked ports,
    They seem fine apart from 55919 that gives a timeout but It is forwarded on the router like the others.
    I will look into this

    ODBC, Main and Serverside are ok as the server works locally when I use local IP.

    Microsoft loopback is enabled when I use locally and that works fine, I have tried both enabled and disabled for global and no luck.
    I have also changed the local to global IP there to test but no luck.

    Any other ideas?

    check your ServerSide IP configuration.. (Check All)
    In what IP are you trying to connect?
    just Local or Global ?

    I have manged to get local to work but trouble is now changing it to global.

    I have also tried without the noip just using my global IP but no luck.

    don't use no-ip in your serverside. use numbers.

    I have done this too but no luck,

    The server seems to run fine, I launch Main.exe the game loads and shows server select, I select server and then it freezes up for a few seconds before resuming the background video and the page stays blank the login box does not show

    - - - Updated - - -

    Ok, I have gone over the IP addresses and replaced another that I overlooked with my global IP,

    It now seems to be connecting and I get past server select to the login screen, I enter my account details then I get a popup that states 'Connection Error'

    I have checked and have seen that the LinkServer displays the following error when this happens;

    17:00:48 SELECT * FROM MEMB_INFO WHERE memb___id='admin'
    SQLSTATE:HY000, Diagnosis:[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The operating system returned error 6(error not found) to SQL Server during a read at offset 0x000000003a6000 in file 'C:\MuServer\DB\MuOnline_Data.MDF'. Additional messages in the SQL Server error log and system event log may provide more detail. This is a severe system-level error condition that threatens database integrity and must be corrected immediately. Complete a full database consistency check (DBCC CHECKDB). This error can be caused by many factors;
    [ExtraServer] Connection Closed, dwIoSize == 0 (Index:0)
    [DataServer1] Connection Closed, dwIoSize == 0 (Index:0)
    [JoinServer] Connection Closed, dwIoSize == 0 (Index:0)
    [PostServer] Connection Closed, dwIoSize == 0 (Index:0)
    [WzExDB] Connection Closed, dwIoSize == 0 (Index:0)
    [DataServer2] Connection Closed, dwIoSize == 0 (Index:0)

    I am so close ! how can I solve this error?

    Re: Mu Server to work on Global

    To assist you I tried some port forwarding myself and had some issues of my own.

    I noticed I could only connect to my server using my local IP and not my global, but when using the global IP others could join. The solution so I could play wasn't the best, but it involved connecting through the local IP, then once connected and in-game to change them back to global IPs and reload the config and serverlist through ConnectServer. An easier solution will be to use tethered phone internet to connect, as that should count as external internet enough to connect through the global IP, which would be a lot better because then we don't need to restart our servers if we were wanting to join...

    Hope some of that ends up helping you as well.

    Re: Mu Server to work on Global

    Ok this has been solved !

    The solution was to get rid of my ddns.net address in the server files and in place put my global IP,
    but the SQL error persisted so I restored the MuOnline database and all seems to work :)

    Re: Mu Server to work on Global

    Today my global IP has changed (what a b**ch)
    I know... static, but currently my ISP is not offering this so I will have to look else where.

    I have replaced all of the global IP's in the server files with the new IP in the following locations;

    Titanlinkserver/config.ini
    TitanCS/Data/SCF_Config.ini
    TitanCS/Data/SCF_ServerList.cfg
    Data/iplist.dat
    Data/MapServerInfo.dat
    Data/lang/kor/commonloc.cfg

    Now it seems to be the same story, no errors on Linkserver, Connectserver, Gameserver.
    But when game opens it does not display the server list it is just empty, on the Connectserver I see the following;
    connect: [0][213.205.227.104]
    03:39:36 IP: 213.205.227.104 requested serverlist

    I am connecting using a laptop which is tethering from my mobile's internet connection.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    IP for main has already been adjusted, any other suggestions?

    Ok... this is strange. It is now fixed although I am not exactly sure how lol

    I created a new no-ip address (very short one) and changed all global IP's with the no-ip, it now seems to work.

    Weird, but I am not complaining
