    Personal (LAN) server

What exactly should i do to make server when I have NAT sitting between me and internet. I want to make server available in local network.
    With IP 192.168.0.XXX
    Should I use no-ip ?

I am not sure what where should I write 127.0.0.1 and where 192.168.0.XXX. And Where "no-ip" ?

Also how do I choose right version of server ? There is too many versions I see, and none of them is with 100% positive responses.
Currently I dont need CS, I'm planning to run server on dedicated WinXPSP2 with 1GB ram.

    Interested in season 5+

Im dont use these server dont even play the game but all servers work in the same way. If you want a local server you would connect via 127.0.0.1 anyone on your network would connect via your local ip address. You do not need no-ip but you can add that if you wish. If you wish to allow anyone to connect search google for myipaddress and then use thaat ip you get with no-ip, You should just download there client to automaticy update. You need to setup portfowarding in your router. Some times you may need to enter your local ip address as a wan server in your router.

    1) then what for "no-ip" is?
    2) So many server components need 127.0.0.1 in setup. So I assume they connect to "main" server this way. I have only one PC for server. And I will not play from the same pc.
3)I dont need server to be available from behind router, so I see no reason to enable ports, setup port forwarding.
    4) so many config files, it makes me lot of headaches.

Season 1 or below is the best for the kind of PC. You should use 192.168.x.x for the setup then for the main you use 192.168.x.x to make it short use lan ip for everything :P
