That's a game feature.
That damage indicates SD inflicted damage ( green bar in left of HP bar ) , after that bar drains out you will be inflicted 100% in HP , not just 10% if your SD is not empty.
To remove this feature , the only solutions i see are:
-to rebuild the source-code with SD removed (hard)
-downgrade to version < 99b (easy)

Or you can config from setting like CommonServer. if it is there
And make it 0 dmg on shield and 100 on normal life.
No idea where on your files can be, on my server season2 i can make it from CommonServer.
