Problems I have with IGCN server files.

What files exactly do I have to change to my ip? Also what files do I have to change my SQL? If I go by my knowlege and setup the server in the way I used to (0.97D =D), if I run in Lan it works fine but get a little castle siege error, but I get DC. If I run in Wan I get Login server connect fail.

Any help would be awesome, thank you.

well u should change ips on mapserverinfo.dat
serverlist.dat
iplist.dat
commonloc.dat
and maybe on somewhere else not sure with those files

for sql passes on event\exdb\ranking\[scfxdb folder if there is] etc..
i have to download the files and check about it ;)..

Please do, as these files don't have event\exdb\ranking.

They only have 2 executable files, dataserver and gameserver.

All the rest of the ip's can stay as 127.0.0.1?

Well granby i just downloaded the files from that thread

and i couldn't find any place to edit the IP's also the SQL Server passwords only at \ServerFiles\IGCDS\IGC.txt\ but what i think is you must put manually the rest like "joinserver.exe" etc , etc , etc . . .

but normally the guide to setup this files is

To run this server you need launch only 3 files, ConnectServer, DataServer and GameServer. GS and GSCS is in one .exe.

i tried running that but i get login server connect fail aswell :P



ill do more research on this files and answer you asap.

Ok so i checked the files and i know whats wrong

first try to restore databases
if thats gonna work then on IGC.txt put ur sql password and SQL Server Group Name under the password

then download this

and put it on ur files then run startup.exe normally.
