Separate vps website & muserver

Hi anyone can help me to setup
SEPARATE VPS WEBSITE[mucore] & MUSERVER.

or any tutorials.
i try to setup but i have error

Connection with MuOnline Database Failed - Fix this

i already open port the 1433 all ports is open.

im using
xampp 1.7.1
sql server 2008 r2
mucore website

Did you tried changing ODBC to MSSQL in config.php?
Does the web hosting have mssql extension enabled?
Also, make sure your sql info is correct (ip, db name, pass for sa or sql user)..

Everything above is basic... but you maybe need to check.

1. already try to change ODBC to MSSQL
2. im using 2 vps and xampp
3. 100% sure all correct.

but still error.

Then in config.php set the debug mode to 1 and do the install again. That should give you more details about the problem.

You can upgrade your xampp to 1.7.3 then problem can be fixed. I've got the same error before and it take 3 days to resolve. It's about PHP version maybe.
One more thing, you can found the way HERE for xampp upgrade and remember to enable short tag

Yep.. maybe it can fix the problem.. but i'm using xampp 1.7.1 and don't have that problem.. there must be something else.

nah u need your webserver host to allow Mssql enable it. then it should work.
