    something about security

hi everyone , i plan to run a dedicated server , i struggle about connecting to the hosting machine. For now i use remote desktop which is really good(if i have to be honest i really do not want to change it with another remote program). Is it save to run server with remote desktop open or its safer to stop remote desktop and use another remote connection program while running the server?

    TNX for your time ;)

i used to have an VPS before, the way i did to restrict it (it was windows server 2003) is to enable firewall, then ofcourse enable some usable ports REMOTe, server blah blah.. then customize it that only one certain IP can access the remote.

maybe there are some other ways too :)

did you use any other security ? im with windows server 2008 R2 X64 which has good firewall i guess. What i really need to know is how to restrict the remote ip address - i have no clue how to do that.
