Sql 2000 doesn't connect anythink

Hi firstly i try one web pages for setup but i take this error;

Can't Connect To Database1

Later i tryed to write some codes for check if smt wrong and i writed like a

!mssql_connect("myhost","sa","mypass")) die("<center>Can't Connect</center>")

and i try a few web pages more but impossible to anythink connect to my web pages

You haven't created a database i suppose, download Navicat lite and create a database.
