first of all you have to make backup of your databases
2nd you need to copy server files to your vps
and than after configuring your vps with all required softwares, sqlserver, appserv/xampp, your will have to restore your database.
thats all
btw, i forgot to mension. the VPS that i bought was Ubuntu, is it ok? is it easy to install things? this is my first time to use Ubuntu, lol
can this vps run a mu server?

Hi,
It must have Windows to run as the above user said as well.
As for the specifications - It is a bit low but for a lower sever (1 or 2 Gameservers) or ~40 users online as for a start it is ok.
But it will not be able to hold multiple users online after you have gained popularity due to limited resources.
I would reccomend 4 GB of RAM (SQL uses a lot in time) and more HDD Space for all needed to run the server (www / logs / database / database backup / programs). etc
Which OS? windows 2003 or windows 2008?
How can i transfer the server files from my computer into the vps?
Add your server files in to a archieve file and upload to site a like mediafire, then go back to your VPS and download the files from the site you uploaded, for more help hit me up on msn.
can be used for server too ;)
vps = virtual private server
with 2GB + and good HDD also 1ghz + = good
but preferable = VDS virtual dedicated server ;P
