Check what PHP script does.

mssql server is setted up correctly for remote ?
remote mssql is not secure on WAN IP.
It can be secure on LAN IP - if you are running 2 server pc, 1 for website 1 for gameserver, different ip, but on LAN they can communicate.
If you are doing this because of DDOS or anything, its totally useless... after the "attacker" connected with your client, he can check the server IP : GS_PORT
So he can flood your gs or attack your IP with something...
