Website problem

Hy there, i really hope someone can help me, cause i don;t get it anymore.

My problem is that i cannot make mt website public. Why? Let me explain.

1. I have dynamic ip.
For this i have no-ip adress with DUC client so it can update the ip constantly.Let's say example.org.
I also use this adress in my server and client ( CS, Mapserver and main.exe ).
2. My ISP is blocking the port 80.
For this i made the Apache server listen to another port, let's say 6060, and made portforward to port 6060.
With my local ip:6060 i can see my website. All good so far.
3.I also have a domain.com so it will look nice.

Problem, how do i combine all of them to work?

What i want to do is this, when someone types my server adress in the browser, server.com i want it to make a hidden redirect to my no-ip adress that updates my ip, example.org which has to connect to my website through the new port 6060.

So far i did this:

1. domain.com i set it to redirect to example.org that has to go in my server to the website hosted there.
2. In Apache conf/httpd i changed the Listen port from 80 to 6060, and in my router i portforwarded the 6060 port. Checked it it is open i can see it.
3. I tried also with example.org ( no-ip adress ) to also make a port 6060 redirect.

All of it, my example.org doesnt work, doesnt show my website, it's uploading the global ip from the DUC client from my server no problem, but it doesn't reach the website.

The only thing showing my website is mylocalip:6060

How can i solve this??

You need to park your domain on your host/ip/pc whatever your website is on, redirecting is just transfering you to your real ip of ur website.

I don't understand Karli, i cannot put under my domain.com the up of the PC host, cause it has dynamic ip. I am trying to make domain.com listen to domain.org that listens to pc host with redirect on port 6060. But the domain.org doesnt work in this moment and i don't get it why.

If u think its domain issue then contact for support on where you bought it and explain them there.

Ok, now i have the following situation. I will leave the website problem for another time. I am focusing on the server now. I am using a muonline.zapto.org adress for my server, placed in Serverlist from connect server, and in mapserver from Data. Players from outside can connect and play no problem. But me, from my second computer located into my LAN with the server, i cannot connect to the server. I have router, i have forwarded all necesary ports 44405, 55901 etc. I read all the topics related to this problem, but i fot nothing.

The players from around the world, an connect no problem, the main and server uses only the muonline.zapto.org adress. But me, using eather this adress, or my server local adress, or the router adress, i get disconected no matter what. I have no firewall, no security of any kind. How do i solve this?

not sure but sometimes muonline.zapto.org = long ip try shorter something like mu.zapto.org and retry.

The whole thing is that zapto isn't always that good and it's taking really long to get your things online. That's why I'd never prefer Zapto neither DynDNS.

Anyhow you could get a free domain everywhere and make a A record with your IP. Once you've done that then you should be able to do whatever you where doing.

Or you just buy a domain, that would be better too.

The zapto thing is no problem, i tested it on a diferent IPS then the current one i am using, i tested many servers and it worked just fine. The problem is something doesnt let me from my second computer inside my network get acces to the server. If the players from the world can connect to my server and play, me from the local network with 2 pc's, where 1 is the server and the other is my personal pc, from my pc i cannot connect to the server using the same ip's and configs as any normal user from outside my network.

Yeah i understand mate.. alot of people have this problem and i dont get it either.. all you can do normally is use your LAN IP in main.exe from the other PC and get it, or install loopback adapter and use that ip on other pc i dont really know thats weird..

Solved it. Replaced main with a clean one, placed server local ip on it ( for my second pc inside LAN ) and it's working. While the players outside, they're connecting through zapto.org adress. All good. We will see with the website but it should work as well.

Even though it's solved, can I ask you just one simple question? Why are you using DynDNS / Zapto for your server. I'm able to provide you a Linux VPS along with a domain for free and then you don't have to bother so much to get your whole server fixed and anything. Anyhow it doesn't matter man, it's your server so you decide!

Who says that you need to host it on your own computer anyway. When you can get a dedicated server / virtual private server and just host it safely on there and not have those issues at all, just saying it's better for your own safety as well for the losing data because some child decided to hack your server again and wirh that hack your computer as well.

I'm always able to hand over a virtual private server, but all I need to know is would you want it and what do you need on it.

No money for hosting, + the testing i am doing it home with some friends from outside the network, therefore, dyndns good form e.

Oh alright, I thought you where using it for a public server to have more people on because in that cause I would prefer you getting some money together to actually buy a server because hosting a public server on your computer is a risk that you could take but it's not the safest risk you're taking then in that case.
