Windows 8 Compatability

Alright, so I'm running Windows 8 on my cousin's laptop and the issue that I keep running to is this:
Everytime I try running the launcher/main.exe for the 4 different clients that I downloaded for 4 separate servers, the main.exe will either crash without an error message and within a few seconds of running the main.exe/launcher, or I will get a message saying the program has crashed. I have already tried running all 4 clients' main.exe's in compatability mode for Windows XP SP1 and up. I also have allowed the main.exe for all 4 clients in the windows firewall, disabled norton firewall, and even added the main.exe's to the DEP and rebooted. I also have reinstalled the clients several times, still to no avail. If there is anyone that has any experience with this issue or know if it's just Windows 8 that can't run MuOnline, then I would really appreciate the help.
