Package comes with complete source codes, map cache (571 maps from Sakray updated to 31 January 2007) and sample configuration (which virtually builds a test server when applied); tested on Mandriva 2007 with MySQL 5.0.24a. Notes on application of sample configuration can be found in read1st.txt in conf-sample folder.

Note:
This package is as close to that used by the originator as you can get. MySQL 5.0.24a users should edit /etc/my.cnf and comment off skip-networking. Users of MySQL 4.1 should do the same with /etc/sysconfig/mysqld.

Please
don't merge topics or posts. That seems to defeat the purpose of
encouraging new compiles and updates. This series is different from the
other series which is still available from the file server. Besides, I
have multiple platforms to take care of and generic names might not be
easy to implement (as in the case of automatic updates).
