This patch broke my quests and caused crashes in dungeons.
But that might just be me. Chryses English patch works without any problems though.

Yes, when I tested it. For example Irine had Lv. 50~ quest dialogues when my character was below Lv. 10. Many other NPCs had quests and dialogues normally not available.
There are many things uncertain with these new files so it might be something wrong on my end if it's working fine for everyone else.

The translation patch that the OP posted is a mere mock-up. There are numerous patches out that are completely stable that should be used instead, and if someone does want to work on an English patch specifically for this release, then they should put some serious time into it (and have a great understanding of the English language).
