Description:
CubeWorld is an action role-playing-game for the PC made by Wollay. It has been in development since June 2011. With gameplay inspired by Diablo, Zelda, Minecraft, and many other classic Role-Playing Games, CubeWorld aims to be the perfect mix of RPG elements, exploration, action, and creation.
Setup:

Step 1: Get the latest DirectX updates

Download and install the latest DirectX End-User Runtime: Download DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer from Official Microsoft Download Center
Step 2: Make sure Cube World runs on your PC

First check if your PC fulfills at least these minimum system requirements:

• Windows XP SP2
• Intel® Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz, Core i3 OR AMD Athlon 64 X2
• NVIDIA® GeForce® 7800, ATI X1800, Intel HD 3000 (256 MB of video RAM and shader model 3.0)
• 2 GB RAM
• Keyboard and mouse
• Internet Connection (for updates and online multiplayer)

Download, unzip and run the Cube World Mini Demo (if you haven't done that before): CubeworldDemo.zip

Installation instructions:
1. Extract the Cube World v0.1.0 file.
2. Click Cube World v0.exe & Follow Installation Instructions.
3. Run Cube.exe not the CubeLauncher.exe

Updates v2.0

1. Ability to auto-start the server when the wrapper is launched
2. Time stamps on console output
3. A kill button, used as a shortcut to kill your Server.exe process if you suspect it's hanging but hasn't crashed (sorry, it's the only fix for now :/)
4. Ability to see/change your settings.ini right from the wrapper. (Note, if you change a setting while your server is running, you'll have to restart your server for changes to take effect)

  • Increased max player capacity: 0-255
  • Ranger ability fix, Scout's Swiftness no longer crashes server
  • Fix for disconnect/desync that sometimes happens with 10+ people on a server

• Option to automagically restart server on crashes
• Start/Stop server with the click of a button
• Kill button, in case your server hangs without crashing and won't respond
• Option to automatically start the server when wrapper is launched

Installation:

1. Unzip the files directly into your Cube World folder. By default this is either:
   
   1. C:\Program Files (x86)\Cube World\, or
   2. C:\Program Files\Cube World\
   
   

Simply run CWServerWrapper.exe, and hit Start Server

Notes:

1. I am injecting a dll inside the cube world's Server.exe, so most likely if you have Antivirus, you will need to add an exception to your antivirus for the program to run. (if your antivirus doesn't pick it up as suspicious, you need a better antivirus btw... lol)
2. We're almost forced to use dll injection currently, in order to add features/mods, so apologies for messiness and weird glitches. I'm currently looking into other ways to handle more in-depth modding that may not need injection.
3. There is a settings.ini, where you can modify the seed, max player capacity, and allowing Inn Keeper to reset time (0 = no, 1 = yes)
4. The seed in your settings.ini will OVERWRITE the seed in your server.cfg. For now, use settings.ini to set your seed. It's included with ServerFix, and currently no way to stop this.

For now it does not have a linux version. There was a Development Server for PVP & other features, and theyplan to have a drop rate,exp rate, money etc. features I will release it here when it is done.
