DarkEden v7.01 Server files

Hi folks,

There is a lot of improvements since v6.64:
- New pets (Mashimaro, Ruffian, Zombies, and so on)
- New skills
- Rupert Island(*warp 6000)
- New mobs from rupert island
- New gui for all races
- Everything else you see in darkeden europe, dklegend etc.

Here is some tutorial/data:

Virtual Machine:
- Use VMWare 7.1 or newer
- User: root
- Password: sepultura
- The server is ready for offline play, just hit ./start and there you go!
- Ip:Port >> 192.168.5.151:9920

Database:
- User: sepultura
- Pass: sepultura
- Port: 3306

Client:
- Use dk2th client: http://darkeden.dk2th.com/download/dk2thENG_V7.01.exe (not sure if darkeden europe or dklegend will work)
- The client will only work in 32bit/86x systems :S , so if you are using a 64 bits one you must run the client through another virtual machine with windows xp.
- create a dot bat file and write the following sentence: dklegend.exe NEWSTART Futec(192.168.5.151:9920)
- Test account in case you dont know how to create one: User: Sepultura Pass: sepultura

Info for advanced users:
- the network being used is eth1, not eth0. eth0 was broken so i used eth1.
- the system seems stable and is using ubuntu 9.10 and the boot is a lot faster than the older versions.
- not sure if the ip is static(i didnt check before i posted this) 192.168.5.151, if so it may change.

I am having the same problem. Won't connect to the mysql database. Can anyone help or upload the files again? Maybe the ones on rapidfire are corrupt? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The files are not corrupted, you need to setup the network.

Does anyone have trouble with this not working after leaving it running overnight? It looks like it is running when you look at the vm but when you go to connect with a character it tells me that the sql has disappeared?

ok here is my experience with this thread
1:- if you're using VMwar new version you need to setup the virtual machine network connection with the same ip that sepultura added on his topic which is IP 198.168.5.151 listen port is 9906
2:- the database has a password to connect on it with local host (any new server host is local host for the game server) which sepultura added in his topic user:sepul.. pw:sepul.. which are not working to log on the database aka mysql...
ps: you can log on DB using this command line just type it as it's

mysql -u sepultura -p

new line will pop up attempting for pw type

password: sepultura

3:-the client of dk2th has an issue connecting not just on this server but also on its main server so try any other client
4:- this Topic needs some advanced users to complete it since the topic is dropped off the guy who made it

Ok guys it works now
here is the steps to make it run
1:- install VMwar ver 8
2:- go to virtual Machine network editor
3:- chose VMNet8 (NAT)
4:- sign in NAT shared host's ip address with vms
4:- sign in connect a host virtual adapter
5:- sign in local dhcp
add subnet IP 192.168.5.0 subnet mask 255.255.255.0
then click NAT settings
* gateway IP 192.168.5.2
*click add
*host port 9920
*vertual machine ip 192.168.5.151
*VM port 3306
* TCP
**add again
*host port 9920
*vertual machine ip 192.168.5.151
*VM port 3306
* UDP
then click ok ok and restart your VM

*Run your VM again
*turn DARKEDEN power on
*login:root
*pw:sepultura
wait till loged in
-type ifconfig eth2 192.168.5.151 broadcast 255.255.255.0
-type ./start
and there you go the server is ready to be connected now
i'll post pics if some one need help

Well Now I got the server ruining no problem
but when i try to connect with the client i get DC and on the server i get those messages

invalidProtocolException :Invalid packet Order
virtual void LoginPlayer:processCommand(bool)
any one know why ?
i used dkLegend client tho cus dk2th doesn't run the game with bat file

i have confused with ip addresses :(
my computer network card ip address internal ip: 192.168.1.2 router ip 192.168.1.254
in router port forwarding i must to do to network card ip???????? address 192.168.1.2?????

wmvare two variants:
1. (ip address server.conf sharedserver.conf loginserver.conf 192.168.1.10) and BRIDGET network u will see in video
i can ping from vmware ping ww.google.com it works it means i have internet ::: offline server works online -no :(

2. if i do (ip address server.conf sharedserver.conf loginserver.conf 192.168.5.10) and NAT network u will see in video
i can't ping from vmware ping ww.google.com not works internet in vmware::: offline server works online -no :(

in navicat gameserverinfo i puting external ip address and after it can't connect to server :(
if i puting vmware ip 192.168.1.10 network BRIDGET or another variant 192.168.5.10 network NAT offline server works great.

help configure server what we all can play online thx !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
