Heroes of Three Kingdoms

You may or may not know, but PWE is permanently shutting down HoTK (Heroes of Three Kingdoms) on October 28th 2011. Heroes of Three Kingdoms is derived from the MMORPG Redcliff Online, and is based off of The Romance of Three Kingdoms. This game provides intense PvP action over action packed battles like, State Wars, Battle at Redcliff, etc. The sudden closure of this game has outraged us players, and we demand action. HoTK should not be tossed aside like this. There are no servers that host HoTK in English. Since PWE is dropping the ball on HoTK, we should pick up where they left off and not let this epic game die off. Do you think that the HoTK source should be released to the public? If you think so, how could we keep this game alive? If the source cannot be publicly released, would you like a game company to take leadership of HoTK? If so, which game company?

The Serverfiles for HoTK have already been released here a while ago ;).
Just work on them to make them suitable for the newest PWE HoTK client

The game would never be able to compete with the other games coming soon, not that that's a reason for it to close but the game was never that populair for PWE, it would just lose more other then gaining players.. I see they are also closing LoMA. If they close ESO imma die, although if that means ESO source would showup then im all for it to die too

A other company taking over? A company can't save that game, maybe developers for private servers can, so yes im all for releasing the source to the public.

does anyone still have the HOTK files? I had them cant find them was thinking about opening a pserver of the game. They WERE on RZ but all the links are removed, if anyone still has be great if youd share so a few people can put up pservers of the game.

Does anyone have client version 2.3.1 they can share. I got working server but no client to match and cant update whats out there anymore since PWE shut down the game

I suggest u to download the open beta client from here:

and apply the patches listed here...there are links...

Indeed i can't find on the net the link direclty for v2.31....also in that list can't see the patch for v2.31...anyway u can try that...

U must be fast to download these files...becuae i think they will delete them from their servers...seems files are still downloadable...
