Ok, so used the 3.0 files (thx Zerbero) and it works great. I modified the account and user table to get things working for logging in and having a level 1 character to run around with. I also modified the petused_id and pet0_id to get a high growth rate toturtle gen0 just like someone would start out with.

Now, I can fight and level, assign my stats, etc, but when I log in again my stats are not saved. I still have the right number of stat points to assign (additional_point in yx_user table) tho, but I am having to reassign them each time I log in.

Any ideas on why my assigned stats are not saving?

You can't translate the chinese to english on the english client because the chinese appears as "@@@@@@@@@@"'s.

if you were smart, and logged into the server with an english client, the chinese would appear as "@@@@@@@", if you used the chinese client and logged in, it'd appear as chinese symbols.

it all saves for me whenever I modify any type of tables, are you completely logged out when you're altering the tables?

I also have problems with using any speeder. It throws up this message after a minute or so:

The attributes saving is client independent. Happens on both chinese and english.

speeders are blocked from this version , i've tried using them. you don't need a query browser with chienese suppose, you're just not using your brain and changing the system locale to Chinese Simplified PRC through the control panel.

ps; i have requested a monster and me section & has anyone found ports to host a public server? i have 9865, the account server port but looking for the game server.

Many thanks on publishing a guide, Azaarie. I might just uninstall everything and start again to try to fix the problem I have with attribute points not saving after being assigned.

Is the blocking of a speeder in any way configurable or is it coded into the exe's?

What you need:

Navicat Premium/Lite: Download
MySQL 5.0: Download
Server Files: Download
Client: Download

First: Install MySQL 5.0 (No guide should be needed)
- Begin the MySQL installation, when installing add an exception to the port 3306
- As the MySQL password, have it as root
- Once you finish installing MySQL, find your installation folder and copy the folder "Hl2" to your directory where you installed MySQL bin files. (C:\MySQL\bin <- Place it there if it were your directory for MySQL)

Second: Install Navicat.
- After installation, open navicat and create a new connection named "hl2" with the password as root
- The database should be there if you did the first step correctly

Third: Configure server files.
- To find your internal IP, open up the start menu, type "cmd" and once you open the command prompt type "ipconfig /all". Once you have done that, find "IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx". That is your internal IP. (Or it is for me, lol.)
- Open "accountserver\account.cfg"

I still have the issue with the attributes not assigning in game. I've tested out a few things and I don't believe it's an issue with access to the yx_user table as level, life, money, and captured pets are all updated in that table.

It's a rather large pain to reassign all of a character's attributes each time I log in.

Any help would be appreciated.
