Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
Please, nobody can tell me how to redirect the client to local please ?
And I've change every configs to local even in db and still redirecting to an other ip...
Help
-
Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
There are currently no tools that are able to edit client files. But You can use hosts file.
But it's still useless information, because nobody can currently run DBC server.
-
Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
DBC Server can be run, it just has a weird ip address in the console. (192.168.123.103)
But it still outputs the FPS stuff.
I'm getting "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc00007b)." when trying to run most of the applications like AuctionServer_Release_Windy_x64.exe
What backup are you guys using for each of the Databases? The full backups or one of the others?

The error code 0xc000007b means INVALID_IMAGE_FORMAT
Can be caused by:
* Missing .NET installation ( or not up to date )
* Missing vcredist installation ( or not up to date )
* Corrupt Files

Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
dbcserver always says the fps thing but im 100% sure it doesnt even connect to the database hell im pretty damn sure its not even reading server_info.ini just cant figure out why its not reading it.

dbcserver connects to ip 192.x.x.x:?: I changed my hosts file according to the same file in options directory, but nothing changed. There is no ip info in server_info.ini.
Should we use HEX?

Doesn't mean it's running, at the top it has blanco connection info.

Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
DBC and other server IP configurations are in database. Whole server works on hostname integration, that means You need hosts file (you can also use named pipes and ip's i checked that, but it's too much work).
Also, dbc server always outputs FPS, but after start it prints that database connection failed, that means it didn't read the config file.
If You have errors running any server deamons that means you don't have enviroments installed. These files are debug compilations, that means you have to use Visual C++ libraries to run them. 64bit version. Install SDK's and everything should run no problem.
Also, the correct order of running the servers are :
AgentManager
Agent
DBCServer
GameGateway
then either :
GameServer
DungeonServer
or
PVPServer
You can also run the simultaneously (these are different instances or same game server with slightly different rules)
Matchserver
ManagerServer
GMServer
AuctionServer
are optional
Currently no news on correct .ini

Correct as I already mentioned in a previous post that there are many IP configs in the databases.
If you know some Reverse Engineering you can figure out the correct ini.
-
Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
Hi, well it looks like the dragonica server for the db.
Just overwrite all the ip and change by yours (or local) but do not put IPs when there are no ips already.
After that... In the server_info.ini, you can put your ip and wrie the right things to connect to the db but it ooks like the server_info.ini isn't read...
So... Any idea ? I'll try a little bit of RE but i'm not very great in this....
-
Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
I'm a demigod of reverse engineering ;)
There are function calls in dbc server that refer to the .ini, but there are no exact information on how it should look like. Unless someone finish decompilation, no progress can be made.
Also, i thought that DBC server may be in conflict with some imported kernel level driver, but i made a complete module import list and it doesn't seem that way.
-
Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
It's quite odd that the gate_serveroption.xml had the wrong name, someone obviously screwed around with the file before releasing.

iirc the files take in the name of the xml file they will refer to as a command-line argument...about the DBCServer problems people have been having, i may have a solution that i will post later, im at school atm and can not get to my files to test it

Will wait then.
And is there a difference between the exe files in the open beta folder and the ones in the patch folder? The ones in the patch folder seem to be a bit older but say usa in the service_control file and the ones in the open beta folder say usa_beta.
-
Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
The ones in the patch folder's should be newer. As one has a higher level cap and has Natasha as a usable character if this is going by Perfect World's updates

Note that the one in the patch folder also have older server .exes.
-
Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
Then the open beta folder is newer than the Patch_20110826 folder I'm guessing.

if you add xml attributes, you will receive error 7 - error reading atrributes.
So i think that it is no use in starting DBCServer with xml parameter.
GameServer also doesn't respond to options, that means that server_info should stay in ini format.

Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
Please,...
Did anyone success and tell me how to do please ?
-
Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
-
Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
As stated before and I will repeat it does require a bit of RE(Reverse Engineering) to get these files to work.
-
Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
Yes You did, and most of able people did the "bit of RE" You mentioned and we have found nothing.
I figured out everything, made correct database, correct DSN entries, every server starts and interacts with each other. There is just one problem, DB server doesn't read the file structure and without complete sources (we need comments) we cant find the correct values for the ini file because dbc server doesn't use entry names, only locators.
So, another unusable stuff.
-
Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
Most of us have figured out how to fix it, now its just up to the community to do so just as Forsaken World.

Since you seem to have it working, did it actually require reverse engineering?
-
Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
Nobody actually got it working, he has no clue how to do it, he just got the files on some Asian forums (where most of crappy Asian games are posted, few years ago it was 99nets, right now i don't know and i don't give a damn) and posted here. It's no crime to post files without guide. So no offense.
What i can say is that these files were messed with. It's not a factory condition server, it's been either : broken by the Asian releaser, or bad compile from the start. Remember, this is a debug version, it may not even work properly even if fixed.
-
Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
I can't even get past my 0xc000007b error when trying to run GameServer and others.
These do seem to be messed with though.
-
Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
Not expecting any kind of development but still, any progress?
-
Hi everyone. I have been messing with these files for quite some time now. Since the DB connection strings are not being read, I tried to search for static stuff about these and I found out some pretty neat stuff. Once you put into the corresponding XML the dbc server crashes withe NPE. Hope that helps

Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
what i think..b4 they release file server and database..they mess with database..u can check at DB RustyHeartsAuth dbo.ServerFile ..
at that dbo have 2 GameServer_Release_Server_Windy_x64 and 2 DBCServer_Release_x64..they change Agent_Release_x64 and AgentManager_Release_x64..they also chg port at ServerOptionDNS..here example: at dbo gate.private port 50002,public port 50001..at configure file server..gate_serveroption.xml is <server name="game_gate" private_dns="gate.private" private_port="50500" public_dns="gate.rh1.perfectworld.com" public_port="50600" />
that what i think..u can check urself..im just share my opinion..that all TQ..
correct me if im wrong..:/::/:

Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
My dbc_serveroption.xml, just make sure to change SQLCONNECTIONSTRING to your likings.
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<server name="game_dbc" private_dns="gamedbc.private" private_ip="127.0.0.1" private_port="50000" world="1" agent="1" />
<db_account string="SQLCONNECTIONSTRING" timeout="5000" />
<db_web string="SQLCONNECTIONSTRING" timeout="5000" />
<db_game string="SQLCONNECTIONSTRING" timeout="5000" />
<agent_server dns="agent.private" port="50099" />
<dbc write_thread_count="3" world="1"/>
<dns dns="1" />
P.S.: If you like this, +Rep me ;)

If you need a public IP/DNS jsut add public_ip, public_port and public_dns to the server tag in the xml. But what I yet need to find out is why the gameservers regardlesd of type are crashing.

Well, just to be safe, try turning your firewall off when you run the files.

It doesn't have to do anything with my firewall.

Depends on those brainless blokes posting basic mistakes like mssql stuff. I already shared where to put the connection info. And I have another tiny bit of info to share: in your config xmls look for world="1" and change it to world="1001". Guide + stuff will follow as soon as this is brought into the development section, means: depends on you.

It has to go through what all the other sections did. We have to prove that the server files work, have a guide on how to make it work, and then appeal to have a section made.

Re: Rusty Hearts [ Server Files ]
You'd need to apply for a section and if mental thinks there is enough interest he'll create a section. You'll also need a working emulator that can be developed on, etc.
