    idea Shadow DEADZONE Multiplayer (Unity 5)



    Hello guys!

    I saw an article on Unity Blog yesterday. Unity and Madfinger Games made a Shadow DEADZONE GM Kit. What is it? It is kit which you can edit all content in game and create your own server. This game is very popular on Google Play (maybe you know this.). I posted this post twice because of mucskiiiiii. He/she said to me this is ad. There is a misunderstanding. :D Whatever. I'll give you link which you can download assets from Asset Store and read docs.

    Asset Store: Download
    Mega.nz: Download (put unity package to "%appdata%/Unity/Asset Store-5.x")
    Note: You should download and install Unity 5.

    *Requires Unity 5.1.0 or higher.

    you need to choose android build and the error will disappear the asset is for android only as the error says

    I know how to download from Asset Store, but I don't have installed Unity and I don't have interest in download and install the Unity because of an asset.

    Have you checked and tested the game? I'm curious about the server, is it limited and have complete source code?

    Confirmed as working 80% only maps are glitched, maybe because of automated build dont know.

    You can't access this asset without Unity Engine. You must download it.

    We need wait new updated version of this asset or you can apply materials to models one by one (Probably you'll get message from Unity like "fix textures" and press "OK".).

    But You pressed "Ignore" and this happened? I saw like this texture issues. I'm doing always this: "Finding material which it has problem with texture and maybe shader then I change shader parameters or completely shader. They'll fix it. We should report this issue on Asset Store. Alternative solution: Create new material, apply textures and change models shader which they're using this material.

    Well. Everything seem good, but there are some downsides due to licensing.

    "b. You, as Licensee have a right to use source codes and binary data and other information opened to public for Your projects. You are not allowed to use the Game SHADOWGUN: DeadZone as a whole."
    "c. When using any part of the Game SHADOWGUN: DeadZone opened to public You must use logo MADFINGER Games, a.s on start up screen in the form as it is on website: http://madfingergames.com/pla/deadzone"
    "d. All changes, modifications, variations, mutations and alterations of SHADOWGUN: DeadZone ( sometimes called as „Derivatives„ ) made by You will be the property of Madfinger Games, a.s. by the day Derivatives are accepted by MADFINGER Games, a.s. . You hereby entitle MADFINGER Games, a.s. to use, copy, modify, distribute the changes, modifications, variations, mutations and alterations with all its Derivatives. MADFINGER Games, a.s. is also allowed to use Your name or nickname without title to a fee."

    Conclusion:
    Bullshit license, Full Source = F*ck MadFinger and make new game from same source and hide everything that is madfinger related, update graphics etc..

    Well. I think it is for education or learning fundamentals of Unity purposes. Anyway, you can use their TPS Shooter, Chat, LAN system on your Unity project (without logo, model, texture or sound).
