[Unity] Server & Client for creating own game

    Greetings,

today i release server and client to create a game on your own. As this is a "developement community" forum, its time to start developing instead of copying chinese crap mobile shit all the time, tweak some settings and talk about developing (which this isnt at all, its just changing settings )

    https://www.mediafire.com/file/x87rd...Client.7z/file

    Included:

    * Server project with collision detection and login for player objects (which are currently capsules)
    * Client with login and serverside player movement

both are created using Unity 2020.3.27f (you can use Unity 2019 to current for sure) and using Tom Weilands Riptide networking, which is free to use and open source.

I think its a good starting point to create your own stuff. Adding a database (you can use my EasyDB for Unity which includes a ready to go asset for unity and an editor for databases using XML file format - https://www.mediafire.com/file/hmb12...BUnity.7z/file ) for user passwords and stuff is possible too.

!!!WARNING: This pack is NOT for people that just copy & paste to call themself "developers". Its for creating everythin on your own (beside the server/client connection) !!!

    Have fun

Additional scripts that may be helpfull:

It could be interesting to create a section reserved for the creation of a game with unity and especially explanatory guides.

This is useless, it can't even be called a project, simply because it has almost nothing. Chinese files are always welcome and useful, they have real project maturity and so on not just a hello world.

In my view, to really start a game with Unity.Let's use Atavism, and start developing games from it. It's got everything covered, and is backed by a huge team.

Their sample game on the Unity side is made very similar to World of Warcraft.

The server part, written in Java language, has developed and fixed most of the features, has all the features that other MMORPGs have.

If you know how to customize the server source code, require knowing the Java language, and programming according to their documentation, then you will have your own direction and relatively save a lot of effort.

    -----
Wait for the Black Friday sale, buy it. I think it's pretty cheap for most people who are interested and passionate about game programming.

    -----
Also to really clone a certain game, and start developing to make money. It is best to understand the source code, and how the Chinese source codes work.

Its maybe useless for you but not for everyone
You are free to stick with buggy incomplete chinese stuff, nobody said you dont have to use them. Its just that using those and calling yourself a "developer" is just not what it is. That simple

Btw, its not just hello world, its spawning players and you can walk around. You can freely create an environment to walk thru, you can do quests and stuff on your own. Thats it.

Truely avatism is great but its not free and you need licencing stuff to use it on a productive environment (beside that java is a high security risk but thats another story). Mine is completely free. Also using an example is fine but its not for creating an own game. This whould be copy & paste if using anything from that example but thats up to whoever wants to create something
I whould prefer UMMOGA for already prebuild stuff but also, this is just my opinion

Whould be cool but i guess it will never happen. Most of the people here want 110% bugfree ready-to-go stuff and struggle with it when they just have to change things in a text file.
And those that really knows what they are doing most likely dont need this help

Maybe a Thread in "Coders Paradise"-Forum of this site whould be possible and connecting github to the thread for people that want to contribute.

    1. Its c++ and not Unity/C#
    2. Even if its good, its the wrong place for it. Why not do your own thread ?

I downloaded the Client and Server I was able to import them into the 2021.3.4f1 of unity with no issue. I got them started and can start both and connect to explore. I'm going to learn how to add some assets and start playing and see what I come up with I have a lot to learn but this could be fun.
    Thanks for the Share!!!
