Ok I am sorry to post some questions that may have already been answered. It is just a bit much to sift through 65+ pages of posts x_x I think I saw someone say they were able to run this from their operating system without a virtual machine. Can anyone please help me with this? I have Windows 7 Home Premium so I cannot use the Windows XP VM that Microsoft had available (also they removed it from their site). Any help on this problem would be great.
My other question is: I see people often mentioning GC client. Do I have to download the GC client, install it, then patch it with certain items to make sure other people can play it? I just want to make sure I am understanding the things I have seen correctly. I am brand new to trying to run a server, and I definitely need help lol :scared:

Anyone does work with update Gold / Blood point by using SQL ? (without using GM Tool, and not logout)
I've try too used GM_Tool (GM_Tool can update gold/blood point without logout character) to update and used SQL Profiler to detect all connections to database.
Have alot connections (open data,update strhold...etc ) that make me confused.
Did anyone has done this step ? Can you please share with me ?

Hey all was quite inactive in the scene for nearly a year. I thought I should set up a server once again and downloaded the 9DPK client and tried to connect it with my server. As expected I can't log in any character due to "Wrong Client Version" Error. Anyone has figured out yet how to change the "expected" client version ?

First of all you should turn down your firewall. Secondly you should ask your internet provider if your router really supports port forwarding. Because sometimes eventhough there's a portforwarding option in the router configuration it doesn't seem to work. That was my case. I had to use the router of my internet-provider in bridge-mode and buy another router which actually really supported portforwarding.Quote:

1. Refinement doesn't work. I can refine up to +1 but when I go for +2 it just automatically cancels itself and says "restart client and try again". How to make it work?
2. How to add/remove karma on newly created characters? New chars can't be seen in the corresponding table.
3. How to change font type from VN/KR english lang client to US/EU? (VN/KR client has much bigger texts in the game)
We do have the old accounts from G1/GC in our database but some accounts can't be logged into at all on yang server or can be logged into but characters are totally empty. All of them on all servers excluding tao.
Could anyone help me restore the items?

- win xp -> go start>run
- win7/vista -> go search program and files
- msconfig > services tab > select "hide all microsoft services"
- Push disable all button
- go to startup tab > push disable all button>apply>ok
- Restart Computer
- you may have to get gameguard through your antivirus program or turn it off
