Known Problems :-
1. if you used newer client you wont see your server on the server list
you will only see GC's (which i guess u need to edit your hosts to a specific address or there is a built in address in the client that redirects you to GC )
2. Some ingame systems wont work like refinement due to old GS
Ahh, figures. Well, I tried it again and I'm getting the same problem as before. Everything's text is like: "????????"
I used the exact files you listed for server side and let the client side patches install themselves.
Also: I figured textures and animation would only be client side, but it was just the way that you worded it...sometimes developers do crazy shit.
Any ideas mate?
Your Problem is NDTEXT_DB
the reason of ????? is you are using the new NDTEXT_DB which have been encrypted in a different way than the old one (which our client use)
thats why the old client cant read the new encryption.
so all u have to do now, go get saweet's new XSD editor merge the old NDTEXTDB_US.XSD with the new one and put it in the Data\Script folder
make sure u added the old merged NDTEXTDB_US.XSD

Yep, that worked like a charm. Alright! One final question, cause I might just be out of the loop..adding new things to skill npcs and/or shop npcs.
I know you can edit them on the server, but they won't show up client side..found a way to edit which ever client side file it is? ( I think it was .xtv or something)
i'm sure the patchs i posted earlier might include new VR_ENVIRONMENT, which includes the new .xtv's of the NPCs (new skills)Quote:
