[Website] The WysGui Experience [Under Dev]
Edit: Instead of opening up a whole new thread, I'm converting this to my Smart Site CMS showcase thread.
Tell me what you think of this site.
It has no images at all.
Check it out, here
It's made with DIVs, for all you div lovers
And it's simple.
Edit: (Jan 25)
After plugging this template I made into WysGui (a CMS engine I made), it looks & functions pretty well.
I skipped a few important steps due to erm.. technical difficulties, but you all can sign up and sign in, and check out all I've done.. Well a small portion at least.
Edit: (Feb 2)
I bought the domain name http://www.WysGui.com and renamed everything in the content.
I'm now working on the GUI part of WysGui.
Wys comes from WYSIWYG, (what you see is what you get..)
Gui comes from, of course, Graphical User Interface
Wonderfully coming together to form WysGui; And the Wise Guy is coming along!

Re: [Template] I might be using this
Seems pretty good imo.
Specially considering its made with DIVs.
Quite Strange the fact that the Navigation is on the bottom, but what the heck, its Different.
Good Luck.

Re: [Template] I might be using this
Actually those links are static, and are the footer for right now.. There are more links on the side and top nav bars but you can't see them yet.. Their rank protected atm
Oh, and thanks for the input, I made the footer links smaller and allowed more links on the nav bars.. The content is still hidden unless you're signed in though. And registration is turned off for right now =D

Re: [Template] I might be using this
Ohh right, i see.
So they aren't going to be staying where they are?
-
Re: [Template] I might be using this
they are gonna stay there, and that's the footer, like if you scroll down in ragezone you see their footer. It's pretty much the nav bar but at the end of the page.. Also used for copyright info, or affiliate/banner ad information (so it's not so up-front)
The links in the footer probably origonated when pages get really long, and people don't want to scroll back up, so the footer was invented! lol.. Idk

Re: [Template] I might be using this
Man get some stylesheet up in that one :)
Nicely coded, though.

Re: [Template] I might be using this
I very much like the way you didn't use any pictures ;). It's a bit blue maybe, but it has good structure.
Perhaps add mark-up for the links etc.

Re: [Template] I might be using this
oh thanks pieman completely forgot to check lol..
Cask, it has one already:
http://www.avsbest.com/smart_site/styles/style4.css
And... Daevius, I made a default link style in the stylesheet, that way the links don't get hidden by the blue background.
Link/text Color Scheme = grayscale. (#000-#FFF)
Background Color Scheme = Light-To-Dark [Blue]. (#FFF-#054585)
Complete style information is of course, in the stylesheet above.
I just want this thing to load quick, function good, and to be bug-free. Anywho, I'm gonna do the w3 validate for now
Edit: Okay, I did w3 validate on the xhtml and the css. I also changed the default font (SuperFun's suggestion). I think it looks better with the new font & w3 icons :)
