This is my first template made completely from nothing.
It took me around one day to get all that done.

Pretty Epic Template Dan.
The hover over graphic is amazing.
Nice work for first time. :)
Rocks my boxxors :D
The look is absoluteley amazing, loving it!
Looking forward for more!
Did you use any tutorials to make this? If so.. i'm interested.![]()
Thanks guys
I didn't use any tutorials.
Just looked over some other templates that use div and css.
Then started to make my own and started with this http://danspd.com/crap
It was the worst template I have made.
Then I tried to use class for div instead of class.
Is id and class attributes for div tag make any difference![]()
Its a pretty decent template.
If you just added some padding, it'd look decent.
Template needs some color as well. Any suggestion which color pattern to chose?
Wow.. great job. I should look into making templates. :(
Thanks

You sir, have a natural born talent.
Maybe on your next layout, disclude images?
Wait, I mean don't use Images whatsoever.
Totally .CSS
That should take a bit of the strain of with designing?
or is this whole design imageless already?
Current design has six images:
bg.gif (10x1) - background
bgitem.gif (1x20) - background for news and right panel boxes
bgmenu.gif (1x20) - background for navigation items
bgmenuH.gif (1x20) - same as one above but with animation for hover
header.gif (1x200) - background for header
logo.png (271x81) - logo
Total size: 6kb or so
I can try to use css gradient for menu, news title, header, etc. so template will have no images.
Added:
Never mind about gradient backgrounds with css. It still uses images.

Templates generally look very nice when using css. They're clean and very feasible. Most websites uses images, but they're like professionally designed.
The difference between class and id is that id object is unique whereas you can have multiple class objects.
I think it's a bit bland. I didn't care for the rainbow bg at first, but without it it's sort of worse. Maybe pick a color or two that contrast and give it some life!
Other than the lack of color-scheme, it's nice. The few images you use are fine, but use some colors that go together. Look at some other templates to get an idea and such.
I like what you've done for your first time, it's great ;)
Here is new template that I started a day ago.
http://danspd.com/part3/
I run out of ideas. Please suggest something.
Design will be 400px fixed. No change to width please.
In the example, fill the content area with stuff until it goes beyond your panels on the left. Also experiment with coloration etc there.
Just to make sure it works like you expect.
Also, the backgrounds are overly noisy and detract from focus on the primary portions of the site. They should be simple and should place focus where you want it, not spread it out.
