0.1/10... CSS and HTML are very very easy languages, there are millions of tutorials and im not being sarcastic or making an exageration... Also, there are software that actually help you code and build a layout visualy...
i dont care how you did that, where, or when... but that fucking sucks!
I would honestly say this isn't rateable. This isn't even quality. You just slapped some random colors together, making it look as though your knowledge of CSS/HTML is mildly limited.
I would stick with a color scheme that look RIGHT when together. Also if you're making the banners width 100%, depending on the layout, as you're a starter I would do the same with the navigation -- I could see you doing the navigation in the middle if of course the colors looked right.. but in this case I can't say that.
I would also make the content area as long as the navigation that could help you make it look of more quality.
I would say before learning PHP you need to know HTML. And to make your HTML have style, it's a must to learn CSS. All of those style languages make a circle if you think of it being long-term.
Anywho, I hope you read up on HTML/CSS and show us some of your updated work when you're finished!
Thanks for your Feed back Aaron. I'm gonna make a Image Navigation bar. The reason I have made the width quite small between the navigation bar and the top banner is I can't think what to put onit. All I can think is news, and thats about it. I'll look around some websites and see if i can get ideas.
I've up-dated the layout abit more, buy...
- Changing layout to matching colors
- Changed 2 Content boxes around slightly
- Added background
- Added Image Navigation bar

It really does look better than the first one, but I dont like the background :)
The first one was so horrible, that even a colorblind could find better colors for it :p
now THAT'S one hella of a difference.
I advice you to make the thingie that says "DIV etc >_<" a lil bit smaller and the news panel to the middle.
now, i can rate that... 5/10 for the effort.

Nice, this one is much better than the previous one. I would make two side columns and make a middle content area for the content or the news itself. In the sides you can have like side-navigations, affilates, advertisements and all of that stuff.

Yeah, when I started off I put the CSS in the main coding document until figuring out I can do put it in another document.css lol.Edit: I've just figured out how to use Style Sheets. Put CSS in a seprate file instead of having it in the Main pages source.
Try adding alittle more colour, etc.
