My attempt at a VB calculator

The background was also made by me, well this is my first attempt at anythign VB based, and i reckon its ok, so i would share it with you all and get your comments on it.

It isnt completely finished , as you will see , but the main part is :winky:
    Attached Files Attached Files

...what do you need a background for in a CALCULATOR?

Also, notice the numberpad to the right of your keyboard? Compare that with what your calc looks like. Also note the layout of Window's own calculator (yes, it has one, it's called CALC.EXE aka Calculator) and the fact that the numberpad ACTUALLY WORKS in calc.exe.
It isnt completely finished , as you will see , but the main part is
The main part. The part that performs the calculations. O RLY?

    3141592579*2718284 = 8539740842014436 (according to calc.exe)
    3141592579*2718284 = 8539740817 (according to yours)

Also, it tells me 1/0 is 0.

That time you spent creating the crapground could've been better spent actually, you know, making it work. Did I also mention calc.exe is only 92KB and has a whole lot moar functionality than your 212KB one (which, even packed, is still 96.7K)? Fail.

Re: My attempt at a VB calculator

Thanks username1, you speak the truth and i like that , i agree its utter shite but it was my first ever VB attemot, the first time i had ever coded VB.

also it only shows 10 digits thats where your little error comes into it.

I dunno whats up with the file size.... lol its likely the graphic...

and emm the 1/0 being 0, well seeing as the windows calculator tells you , that you cannot divide by zero, mine just doesnt display that....

so really it didnt fail in that term either... but besides that my layout wasnt greatly thought out

I think you'd like it if you would want me to show you how to make a scripting language version, far more powerful in my opinion.

I have a feeling that would be beyond the abilities of the OP.

Not to mention you revived a rather old thread.
