My splash page

I made this splash page for a particular singapore forum.
It is about Cars =D a particular brand named Kia Cerato Forte.
Here is it, there are 2 versions, i made version 1 like 1 month ago and version 2 today, just some updates.

I prefer version 2 over version 1, because it leads you to whatever your prefer, froum, main site, etc..

yeah 2 is quite sexy... but i prefer you to use FLASH or FLEX because it has a default preloader...

And i have zero knowledge of HTML too, i merely made them through photoshop CS4 extended.

I prefer the first one.
The graphics are good.
and it just sends people to where you want them to go.

splash pages are terrible in my opinion..
It usually makes your main domain name useless to the search engines, which usually results in an unsuccessful website.

I say scrap the splash page, and use the graphics for other constructive things.

Again, all this revolves around my opinion that content driven sites do better than graphic driven sites. If you were assigned to do the splash page, then by all means complete your assignment, and I like the 2nd one.

If you do use the splash page, then adding some descriptive, relevant content under the graphic would make all the difference.

v3 is very useless.
You haven't made it obvious enough where to click to enter the website.
If your gonna try v4, take s-p-n's advice.

ye sorry for v3, i forget to add that i removed the navigation bar for the moment, the forum is still not using v3 as i just wanted to preview to you guys what v3 would look like. I removed the navigation as i feel that it's ugly, yes ugly. i'll try and make something out of flash if possible =D still learning. thanks for comments =D
