I decided to remove this. Didn't seem like anyone was interested, which is understandable, it was mainly for personal projects.

Ohai,

This is a small patcher I wrote for future projects. This isn't necessarily MMORPG related, but could be used for such. The name isn't final, just wanted something. Probably will keep it since it doesn't matter lol.

I'll be updating this little program for a bit; but basically it's done. I didn't need or wan't anything snazzy, just something to get the job done. When I'm finished I will release the source. [STRIKE]Two versions will be released. One in C# and another in VB.[/STRIKE]

Anyways, below I will post some screenshots and a demo you can try out.

I have two false positives. Your judgment.

So what happens when I use this?

1. It will communicate with the patch server (I'm using a random free web host for this demo)
2. After it has verified a connection, it will then check for any new patches.
3. You will have one patch. Which will create ./data/random_document.txt
4. Next, since it's now up-to-date, it will proceed and launch an application.
5. The application is Microsoft Paint. Just something random for the demo.
