    questionCMS - Formspring Clone

    questionCMS
    At0m (C) 2011
    PHP / MySQL / jQuery

    * Opening Remarks *
    Hello, I will not lie, it was very tiring develop this CMS, but the result was surprising in my opinion, I am very happy to have this work done and that will certainly make the joy of many people, because there are times I have been researching and I concluded that there are many people from around the world wanting a CMS / Script like this style to Formspring (Social Network Questions and Answers "Anonymous").
    The idea of this project is old, but at that time I had enough knowledge to create something, so they spent hours and hours researching to see if there was a script style, but nothing. Some people came up to pay professionals to create such a script ... : /
    Time passed and I was gaining experience and after a time I was getting. There are about 3 years ago I never imagined doing this, it means sometimes contradictory, that "little boy" looking like crazy but could not find a script, and that today it is launching and developing such a script / CMS to others.
    I feel a little proud of it, I think I'm doing the right thing. I would like first to thank God for everything and I won, second Gustavo "Ponska" who helped me in completing the CMS, doing translations, giving ideas, testing, and thirdly to the CMS and Testers Lucas "Impossible," the hard work of finding and testing the BUG'S CMS altogether, and to finish like to thank the people who will download this CMS (In order tests or just for those who want to create your own social network).

    How could someone download this to make their own social network if it's closed source? Which is a waste of time, seriously PHP isn't made to be closed source.

    I'm guessing this was coded with PHP's 'procedural style' rather than OOP too.
    Anyways, nice job.

    10x better with the new homepage xD

    I can see a download link, But iv not looked at it but might have a look later. If its not written in OOP thats going to become a mess soon as you all prob know xD, So aim for OOP if not. OOP saves a small bit of space :)

    Good start. Why isn't it open source? You can still sell web-sites even if u base them on open source software.. Well, it's kind of tricky if GPL.. you can't sell the software but u can sell the labor used to set it up.. make it a BSD license, makes life simpler for everyone- plus someone might contribute to the project.. Usually not, but there's no chance unless u make it open source, or if u have the money to pay a few ppl for a team, or find the right hobbyist(s).. But anyway, it'll still get leaked even if it's not open source.

    Hi,

    I don´t know, but i think, I'm a little selfish , but the main reason is I do not want to see copies no credits, as they always do with my projects.

    Anyway, you can release the Source Code if you could get it...
    Good luck.

    May I ask why and how you got the source like this?

    PHP Code:
    if(!function_exists("TC9A16C47DA8EEE87")){function TC9A16C47DA8EEE87($T059EC46CFE335260){$T059EC46CFE335260=base64_decode($T059EC46CFE335260);$TC9A16C47DA8EE

    Im not to sure, But i think he just encrypted it with base64 then decrypting it to run the php, If thats right you should be able to change this a lil and it would echo out the source, Then agian i could be wrong just a guess.

    He has to release the source code (including the source protection code, and everything else included with his software) by law if you ask for it or he penalizes his own license:

    More Ways for Developers to Provide Source

    One of the fundamental requirements of the GPL is that when you distribute object code to users, you must also provide them with a way to get the source. GPLv2 gave you a few ways to do this, and GPLv3 keeps those intact with some clarification. It also offers you new ways to provide source when you convey object code over a network. For instance, when you host object code on a web or FTP server, you can simply provide instructions that tell visitors how to get the source from a third-party server. Thanks to this new option, fulfilling this requirement should be easier for many small distributors who only make a few changes to large bodies of source.
    The new license also makes it much easier to convey object code via BitTorrent. First, people who are merely downloading or seeding the torrent are exempt from the license's requirements for conveying the software. Then, whoever starts the torrent can provide source by simply telling other torrent users where it is available on a public network server.
    These new options help keep the GPL in line with community standards for offering source, without making it harder for users to get.
    Don't you hate the GPL now? Should've gone with the BSD license..

    Edit:

    You released it using the GPL license, which could be the GPL 1 license, which is even more restrictive on developers:

    For example, if you distribute copies of a such a program, whether gratis or for a fee, you must give the recipients all the rights that you have. You must make sure that they, too, receive or can get the source code. And you must tell them their rights.
    ...
    That means, rather then relaying your source to a third-party to distribute, YOU yourself must make sure, on-request, your source code is as available as your software, and just as obtainable (whether for a fee or gratis.)

    Example: If you're giving your software out for gratis (no charge), the freedoms of the GPL go with it (source code).

    Example2: If you're selling your software for $250.00, the freedoms of the GPL is sold with it (source code).

    If you're worried about "leechers" or source jumpers, DON'T release the next version under the GPL.

    In other words, this version of QuestionCMS is fucked- as in, it's released with the GPL and is leech-friendly.
