Hello there, and this is the release of my message box generator!

I created it for people who like to make funny videos of fake system errors and what not!

Everyone has to start somewhere, and honestly "generators" are a really good way to practice a variety of techniques and find which ones work the best.

This is one of the first (types of) apps that I made when starting VB.NET. Keep going; you'll get there.
(If I could start all over, I would have never learned VB.NET or C#, and started with C++. But eh, to each his own.)

I can code this in C# too. I know how to code applications in VB that I can code in C#, I have a basic knowladge in C#, this is my C# program (not VB):

In my option, Visual Basic has actually helped my C# skills. I really think it's up to what you code that affects the way you learn other languages.
But, I'm slowly moving over to C# and C++ as I get more advanced in that area of coding.

Everyone starting makes something similar to this, I'm just saying that it is pointless to release this here.

What should you post in showcase?
Showcase is the place for you to let others check out your work and give constructive critizism. You can post here anything you created yourself, as long as it is under development and want people to give you support and tips. For instance, if you're developing a MuOnline website, feel free to post it here and ask people what they think of the layout. However, if you are already done with it, it should obviously go into the MuOnline releases section.

Sorry, but as this pretty much is not under development and is overall just a simple project, I do not think it is essentially allowed here (prefer posting the source code at the selective programming forums), and also I am here to provide some constructive criticism.

First of all, overall I think that this is worthless yet somewhat only of a learning tool to your own programming knowledge. Really, the only thing I can think of using this is if you are to extend this into a library which can somehow benefit someone at all (this tip might not help either as you would basically be redoing a MsgBox/System.out.println/std.cout/Console.Write function).

Second, you will definitely get hate comments on how this would not really benefit people. Because its actually true, really what I personally feel is that you should actually showcase your own project if it gives a meaning to other people, and if it something you are essentially going to be proud of through most of your 'programming career'. A few good ideas you should actually make are things such as games, algorithm solvers, GOOD security systems with polymorphic ciphers, etc.

Really, this post is not to offend anyone at all and is to just state that posting projects that just gives you a purpose of learning would not really help at all unless it gives a clear and useful meaning to others.

If you don't like something, then it's simple, don't use it. And this is the Showcase and Releases section, I can freely release my work as I wish, and it has somewhat value. And everyone has to start from somewhere, so doing this, will somewhat help my development & coding skills. But I have now moved to C#, so my work releases will be more useful and more, well, coded properly, if I could say that.
