    [Showcase] My portfolio website

    Check it out at hnry.info

I'm not artistic person at all so I'm really proud of the design.

I have implemented a very simple CMS that spits out pages based on templates but I'm working on a more practical one.

Nice and simple, although I didn't find the CMS project you were talking about on there.

It's used on the server-side and it's quite far from finished so I haven't listed it there yet.

This actually is a problem I'd like to solve. What kind of font would you suggest for me to use? I changed it to sans-serif for now.

Awesome, love the fact that you used CSS3 for the background <3

    Pretty nice and clean ;o
It's not compatible with IE though just saying ;o
But yea that's mainly because IE just sucks still a lot of people are using it @.@
On the other hand it's just your portfolio so it shouldn't matter at all I suppose

If I were you, i'd add some padding onto that layout - around 10px would be sufficient and make it look nicer but other than that it looks great!

    Re: [Showcase] My portfolio website

I believe you are using the older analytics code that should be before the ending body tag, not in head.. and even if you use html5's <nav> you should still use <ul> as well.. Semantic navigation with the nav element | HTML5 Doctor

also unless it actually is <article>, why would you use it..

you code is not bad, it's clean, but hey, it feels like you are using html5 with no real purpose, or without knowing how excatly.. just kinda throwing it there.. stick with divs for now, or read the whole html5doctor it shows the best practice in using html5 elements

and I mean no harm, so please, don't start arguing with me as many people do nowadays

The layout and that looks good.. But it's not much of a portfolio yet.

It doesn't say much about what you've actually done, how many years experience you have, or any links/screenshots of prior work.

Also, if it is running off of your CMS, put "powered by.." in the footer somewhere.

Just curious, how long have you been developing dynamic web-sites?

Overall, I do like what you have done here.

    My thoughts
    +

I like the color scheme; cool and neutral colors set a positive mood.
I like that you used CSS3 and HTML5, shows you are making an attempt to keep up with the new technology.

    -
I would change the font size(for readability)?
I would use a curvy box for the navigation :hover; you started with a curvy feel so you should stick with it.
On your navigation bar I would change the font color.
I think you should add more pages and apply SEO(so you can easily be found, always a good business plan).

Screen shot of my clone or recreation on your site.
I like the contrast in color, the readability and SEO concepts, that I applied.
I got bored and just recreated it based on viewing yours.
