Spec+ - A computer specification tool that uploads your log files, so you don't have

    Spec+
A computer specification tool that uploads your log files for you, so you don't have to.

    How does Spec+ work?
The app records your computer specifications and then simply uploads them to a secure server for others to view.

    Why Spec+?
Spec+ encrypts your information and stores them using unique software signatures on the server. That way, the person viewing the file knows this was taken from the same system, every time.

Why would you want to upload it?
One of the main purposes for generating specifications is for support. When in a forum, or support chat, often you're asked for a specification report so that the user can get a better feel for the system you're using and better diagnose your problem. This application saves you the time of uploading it manually and automatically opens the log window in a browser and copies the URL to your clipboard.

    Screenhsots?
    Here:

Include extra information, such as "DXDIAG.TXT" from DirectX
Spec+ cannot retrieve your DxDiagnostics and post them automatically for security reasons. However, you can easily include them in your report by following the steps below:
Locate the "Include a DX Diagnostics Log File in this report." link, just under the "Generate Log File" button.
Read and follow the log instructions.
Close the dialog and generate your report.

Please help me with feedback. I'd like to make this a lot better than it is now, but it's not possible without your help.

    Download here.

    Click the "Install" button.

    Requirements:
    250MB on HDD.
    Active internet connection.
    .NET Framework 4.0+
    Windows Installer 3.5+
    Windows 2000+
Feel free to share your reports. (You don't have to, obviously)

Seems a good idea , but the question is where does it upload , and who needs my specs? You can see your own pc's specs by typing in dxdiag in a run window , other than that I see no reason to share your specs in a log file.

But that's just my opinion , good work though.

Like it says above, a lot of people ask for specs when posting for help -- that's what this is for.

It uploads to the application's file server at Spec+ - A Specification Tool that Logs and Uploads for you

    Here is an example log:

^ Note: That's from the dev build, a typical log looks like that, minus the undefined strings.

As per your "suspicious file", I included a scan:
    setup.exe - Jotti's malware scan

I don't need a virus scan , I don't even have a firewall or antivirus , that's for paranoic people. I can get rid of stuff manually myself. And as Ronn said , 250 megs? :o

The file itself isn't 250MB. You'll need 250MB if you don't have the .NET Framework installed, as it automatically installs itself on setup if it doesn't exist.
