    [Win32]Image Size vs. Quality

    Image Size vs. Quality v1.0

It shows how much bytes will the picture in weight depending on its quality 1-100.

So I made something called Image Size vs. Quality and basically that's what it does. You can open any image file and then it will calculate it's size depending on quality. Image quality for JPEG is between 1 and 100 so it will copy the file in to stream and then convert it 100 times and sends the size for each quality. Then it's showed in chart, you can switch between 2d and 3d charts but that's up to you. You can open as many files as you want and then compare them in the chart. It will not make any changes to your pictures so do not worry. Program is written by me, Intelext.

Looks like a handy tool, but I can't grasp what it does...does it resizes and resaves the file with different quality rate?

    Re: [Win32]Image Size vs. Quality

Ah cool, and it picks the best?

I often prefer .gif for really really tiny pictures (5 by 5 pixels max) and .jpg for background things, or unsharp / big things....png for the rest, using .png optimizers.

Yeah I'm the same as Daevius except I just save most big things as JPG and set quality to 100%, since I have to save most of my net it works out well.
