Char level resets to 1 after each login

I have an issue, hope anyone can give any pointers to solve it.

Whenever I log out, after I log in again, char levels all reset to 1, even if I set them higher in the database.

Anyone knows a fix to this issue?

did you restart or shut down your server?
if you are logged in and turn off the server it will not save everything.

No restart or server shut down. Will the RA server controller running, it still resets to lvl 1. Well it shows lvl 0 on the char selection screen.

Sounds very much like the problem Metallicana had himself. My only idea is to scrap the databases and repeat the setup step for them (leaving the romuser account and everything else as is) to see if the installation went wrong at some point.

Though it shouldn't considering the steps I described are the exact same as from the older guides and they worked on the first attempt. Perhaps someone with more SQL experience can explain why this issue occurs.

Sounds like a permission problem.
