Someone has a Character Copy/backup Script ?

Anyone has done a script that can copy characters ?

For testing stuff on a new/other server this would be nice (Or as simple backup of your char)

Ok, tested with loadroledata/saveroledata on 2 different servers. This seems to work.

But you have to take care how you use it.


Log into your "source server", type /gm saveroledata charname

You get a charname.rda file in your OneforAll directoy in documents

switch on your target-server

And now is the thing you have to take care off:

If you log into an existing char on your target server and do /gm loadroledata charname it will INSTANTLY copy over the things from your old char (backpack items, quests, gold, diamonds, rubys etc.) but it will take the Name you have.

So better make a new char on that server with the same name you had on source-server

Also i dont really know how good that is working, but what i've seen its good.

I've tested that for the first time, for others this is old cup of coffee ;P
