Re: System requirements for the server?
Zone Server must meet our minimum specifications. It must be at minimum a quad-core machine with at least 16 gigabytes of memory.
Following is the current machine specification used for the German operations:
German Zone Server Specification
CPU Intel(R) Xeon 5140 @ 2.33GHz ( Dual Core ) x 2
Hard Disk 100 GB
Memory 32 GB
OS Windows Server 2003 x64
At a concurrency load of 1850 users, the CPU utilization reaches 95%. With the currently open zones (7 primary world zones with 2 channels and 24 instance zones), the memory usage is at 16 gigabytes.
If the Zone Server only has 4 gigabytes of memory, it would require at minimum 5 machines to run all of the zones
To minimize operating costs, the Zone Server must meet or exceed our suggested specifications.
More zones are coming with future content updates, and they will require more memory and CPU to run.
Zone Server Specification
CPU Intel(R) Xeon E5430 2.66GHz Quad-Core Processor
Hard Disk 100 GB
Memory 32 GB
OS Windows Server 2003 x64
Server Hardware Specifications
CPU RAM OS
Common Service Server Dual Core ( 2 CPU ), 2.33 GHz 8G Windows Server 2003 x64
World Services Server Dual Core ( 2 CPU ), 2.33 GHz 8G Windows Server 2003 x64
Zone Server Quad Core ( 4 CPU or more ), 2.6GHz or faster 32G Windows Server 2003 x64
Database Server Dual Core ( 2 CPU ) 8G Windows Server 2003 x64 (64-bit optional)

right now I'm using a total of a 138 gb of ram forever single zone to be running that includes siege war in all dungeons :)

Re: System requirements for the server?
You can run server without problems on 32+GBs.
Other question, that each zone get smth like 1GB of memory, so most part of locations would use virtual memory.
For ex., mostly all zones + bg use 148GB memory(64RAM + 84 virtual).
It use ~30-50% of CPU(Intel Core i7) and 2 SSD disks.
I think, u can run all zones with 4+GB, but it would rape your processor and disks(especially, SSD).
BTW, it's not very good idea to run all locations only in RAM, becouse of using ~100-150GB memory.
