Hello, I have tried moving my Odin server from an old Win7 to my new Win 8.1 PC, but 4 of the Services are unable to connect to the database:
AccountLog, Character, GameLog and Restserver. The first 3 start and then stop as they are unused, the debug file shows "DB_Init FAILED"
Restserver does not respond in time.
Already checked config and ODBC and fixed OdinRestServerSettings

Running* on a high-end Windows 8.1 notebook with 8GB RAM
SQL Server 2014 used for the Database

You can work your way around to make those services to run if you make them run under your windows account
Right click ->Properties -> Log On -> This Account: .\WindowsUsername and password

I managed to get everything "working" so far under Windows 8 but the world manager keeps flagging the server as High and still haven't found a way to change this, anyone has any idea how to fix it?

So the problem probably is Windows 8, damn...

Well, thank you anyway, might try a full reinstall and/or using SQL 2008 for the database..

Update:
Services now all running after i switched to SQL 2008 R2 and exactly following the instructions in the "How to..." Video. Rest Server required some extra work... if anyone has the same problem, make sure to deactivate SQL Server Reporting Services, which occupies Port 80.
Now I'm stuck at the server being "full", gotta look that up now :

I set up the server on a Win7 virtual machine now, but I'm having trouble connecting... (and I can actualy see the VPC in my Network..)

Well, i still haven't Figured it out , Im using SQL server 2012 it work fine with the old files (Athens) like i can set it and it will let me login with the regular .bat file. My guess is that the ODIN client that doesnt connect to the server -.- even with the .bat file. Sooo im lost If you guys know how to fix this POST! please :) (all my services runs fine with no error)

soooooo After all the Search in Forums i got the the Odin Files to work :) but it does NOT work on WIndows 8.0/8.1 lame... Had to reinstall the thing Windows 7 Ultimate ftw :) (Odin Files can be used with SQL Server 2012) :)

I have a little problem here, when im turn on all the services. and login to the game and warp to Uruga &linkto Urg its back to Select Server menu.. Any idea where i can fix this? thanks :)

Does it give any error or does it just drags you to server select?

sounds like ur running 1 zone :o are u just running 1 zone or all 3 just checking :p

hey nice work, the only problem i ran into was at the end when i went to login server = high, and when i click to get in said it was full know where I migt of messed up? been try to fix it for while with no luck ><
