[SOLVED] Need complete tutorial for win XP

Hi all,
I have a problem with instalation SQL and configuration ODBC. Im practitioner and I need help good admin server (I want make server for my friends by Hamachi). Who want (and can) help me pls gimme more info and screen's how I must make configuration :-) I will be very grateful ! :D

not wrong I think you me read some sticky topic, for odbc a little google search will give you your answer.

if you want to open a server and have him running for sonme time you need to learn to search help people is a good point for help them to start, but if you continue some people will ignore your post. next tome use the search button there is many thread about this.

hmm in managment studio i can't log to SQL Server Authentation I can log only to windows atutentathion ... and in ODBC when im testing connect all time is failed :(

(who can help me mayby can connect with me by TV ? ) need help

For user authentication open up your mssql and connect to your server instance, next right click on it a click properties.


Next click security and check both authentication type.


Next time search better...

In the tutorial provided in front of your eyes by DragonLord, (the 2nd link), if you check every page from 1 to the last, you will find there the pictures of How to make properly ODBC Configuration. Just do as DragonLord said. Try to read. And about all installation of SQL Server for Win XP, is the same as on Win 7/Vista. I know where you got the error in Installation Process of SQL, and I will give you a tip: Try to read , the information provided by SQL Server Install Kit by pressing "More". You actually need to delete some files.
