Its better if you do it that way just saying, also you left out the important part which is after you set to p 5 on the player character db you have to restart the server. (Or else it will throw in the command error)

I dont know if anybody else has this problem but when you set a charcter's privilege in player_characters you can't actually connect you will get "connection fail" all you need to do is set your character's privilege to 0 in player_characters

if i set privilege to 5 for one character the npc's stop moving / acting.

is there any command to switch the AI on / off?

You was right.. After im restart my server (/root/hxsy/stop to /root/hxsy/start) .. this command would WORK 10000%
