How would i set it so i could play over Hamachi with my friends ?

You can install hamachi on your vm, just connect to the same hamachi network and change all ips to the new hamachi ip (including the ips from the bins).

Remember! Hamachi only allows 4 connections at a time if you need more connections you need to pay the license, what would be much cheaper to pay for a Linux VPS.

The workaround for our testserver was to connect to multiple networks at the same time with the vm.

* vm (server)
* player 5
* player 6
* player 7
* player 8
and so on...
