Having some issues getting these files to properly extract. Upon completion of the download, the .z01/2/3 files do not unzip and are read as corrupted. Has anyone else experienced this? They take so long to download, I'm hesitant to just "try to redownload the files"... A 5 hour download either means I do it over night or I do it during the day and have relatively nothing to do for 5 hours, only to hope that the file isn't corrupted for some reason. To me, these four files are missing a "vindictus.zip" file to extract so that the .z01/z02/z03 files have something to follow... am I wrong?

You should have a Vindictus.exe which will run the installer, do not try to extract the .z01/2/3 files yourself

I set up a localhost server using the v1.65 TW client, following this guide. Do I just download this client, edit the "start.bat", and replace the appropriate files listed in the OP and it should be good to go?

Ok so I got the server working, but now at character creation, there is nowhere to input a name and it requires a name.

edit: Scaleform fix fixed it.

I'm trying to edit heroesContents.db3, what program is being used here to do so?

I would assume this would normally be caused by the file being open in another program? But the server is not online as far as I can tell.

Found a pseudo-solution. Just copied heroesContents.db3 to some other location and edited it there. Then I overwrite the one in my server files.

So I downloaded the updated PlayerService.dll, but now I can't get PlayerService.dll to boot no matter what-- any suggestions?

Tried rebooting my computer, tried previous PlayerService.dll, neither worked.

You need to blank off storylineinfo in heroescontents.db3 if you use that dll

I tried my original dll too though and it still would not boot. Also what do you mean by "blank off" storylineinfo? Is that going to make the story unplayable?
