    @Patchouli, fill me in, what DT people or Colhen mod are you talking about? Does delia works? Can you make screen shots or short gameplay?

    Delia doesn't work. I think she was added with a bunch of other changes (new GUI, etc), which our server doesn't seem to be able to handle (boat stops working, strange login/character select issues).
    Colhen mod probably just changes the Colhen map. I haven't checked what's in the original file (not the DT one).

    It's DT's Colhen mod. I made it work on the TW 2015112501_485114 client.
    All I did was paste the end of our HFS onto the end of the Colhen mod HFS, to get the same file size.

    I tried doing that a few days ago with my old HFS repacker, but it didn't work.
    I guess the DT people are using an updated repacker?
    I can't even unpack their Colhen HFS with our HFS tools, it just gives me a 1kb file.
    But I was able to unpack their voice mod. Hmm.

    Edit2: Disregard what I said about it being the database file. I got these HFS files mixed up.
    So far all I've been able to do is get DT's modded HFS to work on our client.
    I haven't been able to repack edited HFS using the tools I have.
    There are some differences in the file data if I try to repack DT's voice HFS, so they must be using an updated repacker.
    Thx for colhen mod mate, i think they use an update repacker or an unknow method to repack hfs, cannot open their hfs either and about hagie i added everything Gvygvxvx said and also skills entries but nothing, i also changed class id to 9 to a my character by database under heroes/characterinfo, result : Appereance works can equip phantomdagger can run dungeons but cannot equip skills nothing on hotbar not even potions, and last when i start 1st quest gives quest error, about missing files on our database server, to be exact on npctalkinfo.xml

    Well, this is my understanding of how Vindictus' current protection works.
    I used to successfully mod Vindictus when people first figured out how to do it.
    That was a long time ago, before all the new protections were added.
    I'm not a coder or hacker, so I don't really know what I'm doing.

    Vzipflip is used to convert HFS to zip.
    Simply repacking an HFS after unpacking it does not result in the exact same data.
    I think I experimented using Vzipflip5-6. Vzipflip24 just crashes for me.
    Both had slightly varying results, but still vastly different from the original files that I tested.
    I mostly experimented with the heroes.db3 file and CSF folder file.

    Unpacking and then repacking DT's voice mod results in files of the same size, but there's some extra data (checksum?) in each header. I think this means our current repacking tools aren't good enough.
    Also, there's one file that always seems to fail unpacking (E608DF10F284E19AB75FD7D0D8AE9CCF87831041.hfs)

    HFSsign v1 was used to sign Vzipflip repacked HFS, with the correct checksum. No longer works.
    There was a secondary checksum but the current Vindictus protection doesn't seem to use it.
    HFSsign v2 was used to both sign the Vzipflip repacked HFS and update UpToDateInfo.dat[STRIKE] and UpToDateInfo2.dat[/STRIKE], but no longer works.

    [STRIKE]The files bin/client.dll, bin/server.dll and bin/engine.dll all check the filesize of UpToDateInfo.dat.[/STRIKE]
    If the UpToDateInfo.dats don't match, it will give the error "sync file size has changed" on startup.
    [STRIKE]If you use updated HFS and UpToDateInfo files, and those 3 dlls, the game still gives a "filesystem error", so there must be something else it looks for. Should be easy to figure out what, by looking at which files the patcher updates.[/STRIKE]

    Edit: UptoDateInfo.dat is for HFS CRC/size info, UpToDateInfo2.dat is for bin folder CRC/size info.

    I think Filesystem 36 and 37 are for different errors. 36 seems to be "file size does not match". 37 could be "cannot read file" or "checksum does not match".
    I suspect FileSystem_Stdio.dll stores the info on how it reads the HFS. It looks like Nexon updates this dll from time to time.

    I think client.dll, server.dll and engine.dll contain updated features, packets, etc.
    Which means that if you use those files, you also have to use the changes that come with them.
    The newer clients can't seem to communicate with our server properly.

    It's possible to modify HFS if you can repack HFS exactly the same way Nexon does.
    But they must be the same filesize. As far as I know, only DT has made these kinds of mods.
    If you can make a properly repacked smaller HFS file (eg. DT's mods), and then append the end of the file with the original data, it works.
    So any modifications need to be smaller. But you still need to know how to repack the file like Nexon and DT do.
    If you compare DT's mods, large portions of the files are completely identical to Nexon's.

    Inserting current tool repacked HFS portions into valid HFS files does not work (file system error).
    Changing the HF headers inside repacked HFS to match recent HFS files (from 4846010214 to 484601020A or 1A, etc) does not work (file system error).

    Taking an old HFS and putting stuff on the end to match the file size doesn't seem to work in updated clients. It gets past the initial loading, but gives a CRC error before the title screen.

    Subweapon is not that a problem mate, i cannot even do mission on boats with your version of the game, gz for it tho

    I thought those dlls checked the filesize because I only get the "sync file is wrong size" error if any of those three files are not using the same version. If I put only those three files in, that error message goes away.
    I'm tired so maybe I reached the wrong conclusion.

    I looked around the net for updated tools and couldn't find any.

    Edit: Well, now I'm trying it another way and just those 3 files alone is still giving me "sync file wrong size". Dunno what I did earlier then. Too tired.

    @Gvygvxvx, the client you used have Delia? Since you quoted that person asked for the latest client version. If you have time please tell us how to upgrade our current clients to the ones you are using and work with many features. Those teased screenshots look nice :-)

    I've updated the TW Client to 2015112501 but now i can't get ingame i've added to the Hosts File but when i log in and click the char it just says response from Server Delayed pls help

    ok, first update client to 2015112501_485114, next bakup bin folder and UpToDateInfo2.dat.
    second update to 2016012201_401717, Replace bin and UpToDateInfo2.dat version on 2015112501.
    next, extract heroes.db3.comp from 286FE9924483F382029EF68BA6C260B3C2563BF9.hfs

    now you need to update the heroesContents.db3, open navicat and go data transfer

    when you start the server, the playerservice will crash, You can see in the log that is not enough xml.
    I just copied the existing, and rename them. they will not work but will allow the server to start
