i instaled corectly my cabal server again because i make an update to windows and i cant concet to my server.now i have windows 7 and i cant connect.it said me failed to connect the server.i try on wan ip and on LAN ip,i forword my ports and no answer i cant connect.i have my antivirus disabled and firewall also.what is wrong?

To answer this one i will need a set of logs so i can see what is happening. Try logging in a few times and then zip the logs from /var/log/cabal and post them so i can take a look.

Hmm ... i have Windows 7 and i have another problemm with MSSQL 2000/2005/2008 ... everywhere while i restoring the DB it say "Codepage 936 not supports by this server"
You probably need to install the codepage on the computer that has sql installed. Microsoft keep moving things and i have no idea if it's still the same place or not in later OSes.
Control panel->Regional and language options->Advanced. There should be a "936 (ANSI/OEM - Simplified Chinese GBK)" entry. Tick it to install. You will probably need your windows disk for this.

YEY! Windows 7 runs MSSQL 2000 SP4!
Must try when I get Windows 7. Windows Vista doesn't like MSSQL2000.
